Video presentations by Bruce Robison of MBARI highlighting his ROV investigations of the biology of the Monterey Submarine Canyon, Peter J. Herring on "Observations of bioluminescence on the abyssal seafloor", Edith A. Widder on "Secret lights in the sea: how marine organisms use bioluminescence to survive".
Sept. 7, 8 - 9:30 pm in Chapel at Asilomar.Dessert Reception at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
To be held in the near shore wing of the Monterey Bay Aquarium with kelp forest dive show in the two-story tall kelp tank with guides available for interpretation of exhibits. Desserts, espresso station and cash bar. Buses will cycle between Asilomar and the Aquarium at 7:15 pm and begin return cycling at 9:30 pm. Symposium nametag required for admission to the Aquarium.
