Instructions for preparing paper for
publication in the proceedings

The proceedings of this symposium will be published in the volume: Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence 2000, edited by J F Case, PJ Herring, BH Robison, SHD Haddock, LJ Kricka, PE Stanley, and printed by World Scientific Publishing Company, Singapore.

All authors wishing to publish a manuscript must follow these instructions. A draft of the manuscript must be sent to the Editors, and the final manuscript version will be due at the conference.

Style and Layout

Option A - Prepare your FOUR PAGE paper using Microsoft Word to conform to the style and layout shown in this example [Word file] or [pdf file]. Your text must fit within an imaginary box 7 x 4.7 inches (17.75 x 12 cm).

Option B - Prepare your FOUR PAGE paper using the macros which you will find in this zip file. The file has been prepared for medical proceedings, but the same rules apply.

Timetable

June 29 — deadline for fax submission of Proceedings papers for approval by Editors. Please submit your paper by fax as follows. This deadline has now passed.

Authors from Europe — by fax to Dr Phil Stanley at +44-1223-461-777.

Authors from the Rest of the World — by fax to Dr Larry J Kricka at +1-215-662-7529.

Note: your manuscript will not be accepted until your Symposium registration fees have been paid.

August 31 — deadline for e-mailing electronic version of proceedings papers to Phil Stanley (Stanley@lumiweb.com) [Europe] or Larry Kricka (kricka@mail.med.upenn.edu) [rest of the World]. Send as attachments, with the text in Word format, and images embedded in the Word file (preferable) or separately in TIFF format. No color images will be accepted.

September 6-10 — deadline for submission of camera-ready top copy of proceedings papers at the conference. You should also submit an electronic version of your paper - text must be in a Microsoft Word file and graphics must be as .tif files.
